An eco-tourism champion in Sarawak, Roxy Hotel has multiple boutique hotel outlets strategically located throughout Sarawak. With up to 8 branches, from Roxy Padungan, 3rd Mile, Serian, Sematan, all the way to Sri Aman and more.
With the aim to increase their social media presence and drive sales, Roxy Hotel engaged SOL Digital to increase social engagement and boost their website bookings.

Roxy's social media pages witnessed exponential growth since 2021, with the number of likes increasing from 12.3k to 15k as of January 2024, accompanied by a substantial following of over 1.9k on Instagram.

Through consistent Facebook advertising, Roxy’s ads reached beyond 1 million people and garnered more than 50k visits to their website per month, solely from social media ads. Further digital marketing strategies also helped Roxy in getting an average of 150 monthly website bookings across 8 branches.

With Covid-19 travel restrictions and the Movement Control Order (MCO), the tourism industry was facing an unprecedented obstacle in maintaining their business.
Roxy Hotels did not falter in venturing into digital marketing strategies to stay on top of their game. Audiences typically choose to reserve rooms at Roxy Hotels through third-party hotel booking platforms such as Agoda, which provide a diverse array of options and discounts. However, this often results in higher commissions compared to direct bookings.
Hotels favour direct bookings due to the potential for increased profit margins and the opportunity to establish stronger relationships with customers through personalised services.

Through specific audience targeting, Roxy’s ads were aimed at local Kuchingites who love staycations and potential tourists around Malaysia who love travelling. We also retargeted and created lookalike audiences of people who had interacted with their social media pages or their ads.
Not only that, through integrating ad campaigns and leveraging Roxy's social media followers, our ads provided a more insightful experience of each of Roxy’s outlets like their beach resort in Sematan and their city hotel in Padungan. People who clicked on the ads would be led to Roxy’s website, to make it easier for them to make a room booking.
